{Nourish} About

From the ages of about 8 to 15 my dream was to own a restaurant. I love to cook. I love to entertain… And most of all, I love to eat.

I spend an unhealthy amount of time online at my favourite restaurants’ websites drooling over their latest menus.

Once a week, on a Sunday, (because sundays are good days to think about food) I am going to add to the Nourish series.  Oh, and I have some Grand Plans.

What, you may ask, could be up my sleeve??

Well, I plan to dazzle you with my own recipes as well as some of my favie recipes from my favie chefs.  I will also provide you with some ideas for food and entertaining relating to specific occasions throughout the year.  I’ll be your go-to gal for suggestions of what to cook for a Mother’s Day Morning Tea, Valentines dinner or a spring picnic at the park.

…and maybe, I am most excited about one little idea I have… it involves this book:

The Flavour Thesaurus by Niki Segnit

Have you seen it before?  I first spied it over at the most lovely blog, Eat Drink Chic… The beautiful cover and great concept had me intrigued – I had to have my own copy.  So, around once a month I will turn to a random page in my book and spend an afternoon experimenting in the kitchen based on the flavour combination I find.  I will report back to you with my findings.

Oh yes, I almost forgot… just so you know… it’s not just your body I’ll be nourishing… I’ve also got a little soul food for you.  Intrigued?  I hope so!  I guess you’ll just have to wait and see…
