Let’s make Meringues

Hello Friend,

The girls and I had fun on Sunday cooking up a storm in front of the camera (well, the girls in front of the camera & me behind it!) … we’ve got a few videos planned for the upcoming months – and I forgot how interesting it is to try and make a cooking video with a 1- , 3- and 4-year old!

I’ll definitely have to make a blooper reel one of these days – because the girls do some funny things that I’ve caught on tape!!

Meringues are fun – you can add a little food colouring to the mix – the kiddos would love that – infact I wish I had thought of it when we were making them!! … and if you end up with meringues that look a bit of a disaster, you can always turn them into an eton mess!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy watching the video as much as we enjoyed making it!  And if you have any special recipes you’d like to see in video form please let me know in the comment section below (nothing too complicated, please!!).

Thanks Suzie! Let me know how it goes if you make them – we tried to make them again last night but I had to alter the recipe because our eggs were so little, and it just didn’t turn out the same…

Thanks Lesley! Definitely give it a go… we tried adding a little food colouring to the last lot we made, which made it a touch more exciting!

Thanks so much Katie – can’t wait to hear how the meringues turn out if you give them a go – I’m always amazed at the things a couple of ingredients can create in the kitchen!!
