I’ve been procrastinating all week about putting up photos of Herman, as I seriously overcooked him. Alas, I can procrastinate no longer. Here we go… please ignore the blackened base…
I found this cool website, which gives you all the instructions if you want to make your own sourdough starter for Herman, and also instructions about how to look after him and make the cake if you are given a starter. They even have a photo gallery and facebook page!
We’re on to Herman Round Two now and we are going to try baking the cake again on Monday. Keeping fingers crossed I can pay closer attention while it’s in the oven!!
